| I AM BARRY SCOTT |
[Mar. 3rd, 2005|09:42 am] |
in a really strange mood today, which inadvertantly means that i'm
posting here. still haven't really figured out exactly what i'm going
to do with this, but seen as i'm renouned for random tangents, i think
i'll keep giving this a stab.
and... i've been taking photos with my camphone... <.< >.>
admittedly, they're a bit shitty due to the fact that i was taking
pictures of buildings and sheeit when really it's designed for...i
dunno... taking photos of yourself? meh? so...the following photos are
all blurry , but you get the idea...
anyway, here goes:

That's Winchester Cathedral, from the North-West. Absolutely love this
building. I'm not religious at all, but it's significance to me
comes from the fact that it really is an awesome site. And one that i
can see from my bedroom window. Every time i walk past it, i feel glad
to live here.

arty shot through the buttresses...

and me on the way to work, the other day. feeling blurry and orange.
this street is one of the oldest in Winchester and runs from the
Bishop's House (Wolvesey Castle), past Winchester Boys College (very
old, famous public school), past the house that Jane Austen lived (and
died) in, ending by one of the best pubs in the world; the Wykeham
Arms.
so there ya go. |

| [ | mood |
| | chipper | ] | Yeah, so... who'd a thought it, i'm going to give this bloody thing a go.
I'd blame lulls at work, to be honest, which is where most of my deviations on the internet come from. I've recently been having a look around http://www.flickr.com/ , and now i've got a spanky new phone i might actually start adding my own sheeit to it. Been playing with the thing a lot....... not annoyed the girlfriend yet, though.... but time will tell.
Hmmmm... long dark wednesday of the soul.... it's terribly grey outside, and depressing inside. The noticable good news is that i've managed to get "The Final Countdown" in my colleagues's heads. Joy.
The other thing on my mind is that Valentine's Day is but... five... days away. And i haven't done anything. I guess i'd better get my arse into gear and buy things. Hmm.... I always have a problem with valentine's day. I do enjoy it because, well, who needs an excuse to pamper the one you love, but i have a nagging thought in the back of my mind that i am a TOOL OF THE SYSTEM for bending to Hallmark's whims. Ah fuck it. I'm a soppy bugger anyway, so i'll go all out. Oh, and don't even get me started on the price of flowers. seriously. what. not good. no.
right, phone's going. more details as events warrant. |

| [ | mood |
| | pessimistic | ] | So yeah... i guess i finally added something to my livejournal.
I'd actually forgotten i'd created it, and it's lain empty and
desolate.
I admit, i find these sort of things really, really navel-gazing and
self-involved, so who knows whether this is first and last entry, or
whether i'll turn very emo. eeeeeeeemmmmmmmmmmmoooooooo.
hum. talking to myself. but i guess that's what this place is for. at
it's very worst the 'net is a collecting space for all those failed
drama students and other self-absorbed poets to create new exciting
fantasies, and i guess livejournal is the perfect medium. i wonder how
many there are. um.
er. yeah.
..........
Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a boy called Rob...... |
